Excitement Soars as IL Football Match Kicks Off at TRC Ground, Srinagar

Football fever gripped Srinagar today as the much-anticipated .IL football tournament, organized by the All India Football Association (AIFA), commenced at the iconic TRC Ground. This national-level event, which will run until March 8, 2025, has already generated immense enthusiasm among football lovers across Kashmir.

The IL matches will be held in two phases, with only four games scheduled until December 2024. The remaining matches will be played throughout 2025, keeping fans engaged over the coming months.

Football enthusiasts turned up in large numbers at the TRC Ground to witness today’s thrilling game. Spectators expressed joy at seeing such prestigious national events being hosted in Kashmir, with many commenting on the growing importance of sports in the region.

“We are thrilled to witness a tournament of this caliber in our hometown. These events not only promote football but also showcase Kashmir’s potential as a hub for national sports,” said a local football enthusiast.
