Ganderbal, Feb 5: Hundreds of students from various coaching centres, alongside local residents, held a peaceful rally in Kangan, central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Wednesday, to protest the recent killing of an ex-serviceman in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
The rally, marked by a strong message against violence, saw participants holding pla-cards that read, “Stop Innocent Killings.” The ex-army man, was killed in a terrorist attack at Behibagh, Kulgam, while his wife and niece were injured in the act. The attack has sparked widespread outrage across the region, with citizens and students alike calling for an end to incidents. Participants marching peacefully to express their grief and demand justice.
Speaking at the rally, one of the students said: “We are here to stand in solidarity with the family of the ex-army personnel and to send a clear message that violence against innocent individuals is unacceptable. We urge everyone to work towards peace and harmony.”
