JAMMU, DEC 3: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, a nationwide campaign to spread the message and vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make India a developed nation by 2047, reached panchayat Babliana of block Satwari on Sunday.
Member of Parliament, Jugal Kishore Sharma addressed the public and shared the vision of the Government to make India a developed nation by 2047. He appealed to everyone to spread the message and objective of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, a campaign to reach out to the public with the message and commitment of the Prime Minister towards their development. He emphasised that more people should be motivated to participate in these events organised for the remaining panchayats.
The MP directed the field functionaries of all the departments to establish regular contact with the public and ensure doorstep delivery of government services without causing the public any inconvenience of visiting offices. He encouraged the public to participate in Gram Sabhas and other forums to raise their demands and interact with the administration for their development issues.
Sharma distributed AYUSHMAN Golden Cards to the eligible beneficiaries and honoured the Progressive Farmers of the Panchayat with certificates of appreciation for their achievements in agriculture. Moreover, he handed over gas connections to the UJJWALA beneficiaries.
The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra Van was welcomed in the panchayat by the members of the Swagat Committee and PRI members of panchayat Babliana in the presence of the Member of Parliament.
The message of the PM was displayed on the van followed by the Sankalp pledge, taken by the people to make India a developed Nation by 2047.
The event began with the national anthem and was followed by the cultural performances by the students of Government Middle School Babliana. The event was also attended by the former Deputy Mayor, Baldev Singh Billawaria. Representatives of all the line departments were also present at the venue.
The event also demonstrated the use of a drone for spraying fertilisers and pesticides on crops, an innovative technology that can benefit the farmers. It concluded with a vote of thanks presented by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Sandeep Seointra.
The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is underway across the district with effect from November 27 to cover all the 305-gram panchayats and 7 MCs of ULBs and shall culminate on December 25, 2023.
