Essay & Quiz competition mark Hindi official language fortnight

  Jammu, Sept 23: As part of the ongoing Hindi Official Language Fortnight being observed across the Jammu division from September 14 to 30, an essay and quiz competition was organised Tuesday to promote the use of Hindi in official work. According to a statement issued here, the programme was conducted under the leadership of Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM), Akshay Kumar Marantu. Official Language Officer, Sunil Kumar Badoni and Senior Translator Sarita, were also present and supervised the event. Railway employees took part in the competitions with great enthusiasm, reflecting the spirit of the fortnight which has seen a series of daily activities designed to encourage greater adoption of Hindi in official communication.
