Srinagar, Jul 05: Continuing its outreach during the holy days of Muharram, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Lal Chowk Constituency on Saturday organised a Sabeel-e-Imam Hussain (AS) at Pandrethan, Srinagar, on the occasion of 9th Muharram. The initiative was led by Senior BJP leader and DDC member Er Aijaz Hussain, as part of the party’s commitment to serve people across communities.Refreshments, including water and juices, were distributed among mourners participating in the traditional procession. In addition, a free medical camp was set up on-site to ensure timely health checkups and provide basic medicines to those in need.Er Aijaz Hussain, who was present throughout the program, personally served the refreshments to the mourners and interacted with community members. He emphasised that such acts of service are not political but humanitarian, driven by shared values of compassion and solidarity. The local BJP team played a pivotal role in organising the event. Constituency President Umer Shafi, Vice President Mehraj-ud-Din, General Secretaries Nasrullah Mattoo and Mohammad Hussain, along with Secretary Adil Ahmad, ensured smooth logistics and dignified conduct throughout the program. This effort marks the sixth consecutive day of BJP Lal Chowk Constituency’s Muharram outreach programs, which have been held at various locations across Srinagar. These initiatives are aimed at fostering mutual respect and delivering basic support to people during moments of religious significance. The BJP team reiterated its resolve to stand with the people of Jammu & Kashmir in every season of faith, sacrifice, and remembrance.
