Jammu, Feb 27: The ‘Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0 District Outreach and Awareness Program’ was organized by Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh in the districts of Reasi, Ramban, Udhampur, Kulgam, Pulwama and Leh for the stakeholders of the UTs of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh with the theme for this month being Final PF Withdrawal, Transfer of PF Accounts, Understanding my account and account profile – KYC, and UAN related issues.
The program was organized with a view to sensitize the employers as well as employees about the various important aspects of the Provident Fund such as Final PF withdrawal, transfer of PF accounts, and issues related to social security, among others. The program threw light on various schemes and their benefits, eligibility criteria of employers and employees, and employers’ responsibilities regarding returns and remittances, among others. It also highlighted various online facilities which are available for the pensioners and various new initiatives taken by EPFO such as e – nomination, advance for COVID–19, etc.
EPFO Jammu, Srinagar and Ladakh took this opportunity to provide handholding support to the stakeholders at the respective venues besides hearing them (their suggestions, inputs, and grievances). Issues and problems faced by the Organizations in implementing the EPF & MP Act. 1952 were heard and necessary actions were taken accordingly. UAN Activation, Bank and Aadhaar Seeding, filing of online claims, filing of e-nominations, and program. E-sign, and filing ECR were explained with hands-on demonstration.
Rizwan Uddin, Regional P F Commissioner-I, J& K and Ladakh addressing at Army Public School, Udhampur specially emphasized the importance of Pension and Insurance benefits available under the EPF & MP Act, 1952. He stated that his main aim is not only to discuss the schemes but he is looking forward the maximum number of people should benefit out of this program.
Later, an open forum was held where RPFC – I encouraged all the participants to raise their queries and grievances and also to provide their feedback and suggestions. Most of the queries were addressed on the spot.
Mussarat Islam, DC Ramban addressing the event in the district appreciated the initiative by EPFO and said such innovative measures will be very helpful for the stakeholders in availing the social security benefits being provided by EPFO. He advised the representatives of government departments and agencies to provide PF coverage and extend social security benefits to all the employees in their projects.
While addressing the other dignitaries and participants he provided assurance of continued cooperation and support by the District Administration to EPFO. Dr Jyoti Bedyal, Principal, APS Dhar Road expressed her gratefulness to Regional Provident Fund Commissioner for providing such an incredible platform for creating awareness among the masses. She urged that a greater number of such programs should be conducted to create mindfulness among people regarding such issues.
“Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0 District Outreach Program” was also addressed by Pramod Kumar Singh EO/AO in Reasi, Vijay Choithani EO/AO in Ramban, Amit Jakhmola EO/AO in Udhampur, Ankur Janghu EO/AO in Pulwama, Suhail Khan, EO/AO in Kulgam and Pawan Kumar, EO/AO in Leh under the supervision of Regional P. F. Commissioner-I, Rizwan Uddin.
The program was graced by the presence of many other dignitaries including Dr. Sushant Mahajan, ALC and Dev Anand, CEO at Ramban besides representatives from the Revenue Department, Forest Department, Information Department and establishments covered under EPFO.
Manisha Yadav, Vice-Chairperson of APS Dhar Road and Mineesh Gulati, Founder of Happy Model Higher Secondary School and Shivalik College of Education were present in the program at APS, Dhar Road Udhampur.
Nagendra Singh Jamwal (JKAS), Registrar, SMVDU, Neeraj Gupta, F&AO, SMVDU, Arvind Mahajan, HR Head, Narayana Hospital also participated in the program at Katra in Reasi district.
Efforts are made during the ‘Nidhi Aapke Nikat’ program to redress the cases/grievances the same day or at the earliest, the EPFO said.
