EPFO settles 1.57 lakh claims from Jammu for FY 2022-23

Jammu, March 25: Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation on Saturday said that with its limited staff strength, it has settled nearly 1 lakh 57 thousand claims from Regional Office Jammu and deposited a total amount of Rs. 899.27 crore in the members’ bank accounts for the financial year 2022-2023.
The EPFO Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh in a statement said that it will be holding ‘Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0’ – an awareness and outreach program at DC Office, Kishtwar and Executive Training Hall/Conference Hall Dulhasti Power Station, Kishtwar, Community Hall Doda, DC Office Rajouri, DC Office Baramulla, DC Office and NHPC Bandipora and Mutahhary Public School, Kargil on March 27, simultaneously. 
The employers and employees of the aforementioned areas would be sensitized about provisions of social security, besides covering themes of Final PF Withdrawal, Transfer of PF Accounts, Know Your UAN, UAN Activation, E-nomination & member profile – KYC, and UAN-related issues, the statement said, adding that the aim of the program is to ensure broad based participation, awareness, grievance redressal and information exchange network closer to the stakeholders of EPFO. 
The P F Commissioner,Rizwan Uddin informed that subscribers, pensioners, establishments, employees’ representatives and industrial chambers are advised to actively participate in Nidhi Aapke Nikat program.
“EPFO Jammu takes this opportunity to provide handholding support to the stakeholders at the respective venues, besides hearing them (their suggestions, inputs and grievances),” the statement said, adding, “Issues and problems faced by the organizations in implementing the EPF & MP Act. 1952 will be heard and necessary actions would be taken accordingly. Enrollment of the members, UAN Activation, Bank & Aadhaar Seeding, online claim filing, filing of e-nominations, e-sign, filing ECR would be covered in the program. In addition to above any other relevant issue related to EPFO, which officers or stakeholders desire, would be discussed.” 
EPFO, Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh said it has taken some unique initiatives to help and facilitate stakeholders of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, despite the constraints of resources, like the visitors are being heard personally by Regional P F Commissioner, Rizwan Uddin and a team of dedicated people helps, handles grievances and facilitates all the needs and requirements of all visiting pensioners /members and employers at EPFO Regional Office, Jammu. 
“WhatsApp and e-mails have been circulated widely to the stakeholders. Regular follow-up is being carried out on issues received through WhatsApp, besides accepting essential documents. Facilitation through proactive endeavours has enabled EPFO to establish itself as a Customer Centric’ Organisation in J & K and Ladakh,” it said.
