New Delhi, Nov 02: In a remarkable achievement, the Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) Regional Office in Jammu has been honored with the Bhavishya Nidhi Award-2023 in the “Best Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0 Campaign” category. The award ceremony took place at the EPFO Head Office in New Delhi as part of the celebration of EPFO’s 71st Foundation Day.
Rizwan Uddin, Regional P F Commissioner – I, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, received the award from Rameshwar Teli, Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India. The event was graced by distinguished personalities, including Ms. Arti Ahuja, Secretary (Labour and Employment), Ms. Neelam Shami Rao, Central Provident Fund Commissioner (EPFO), and other senior officials from the Ministry of Labour and Employment.
The EPFO Jammu office was recognized for its outstanding performance in conducting the Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0 (NAN 2.0) program, which significantly enhanced awareness among stakeholders, increased EPFO membership, and provided valuable handholding sessions. The program also made notable contributions in the field of pension and e-nominations, among other areas.
The NAN 2.0 program witnessed enthusiastic participation from stakeholders across various venues, including District Collector (DC) Offices in Udhampur, Kathua, Ramban, Samba, Kishtwar, Kupwara, Baramulla, Doda, as well as the NHPC Office in Kishtwar, among others.
Shri Rizwan Uddin expressed his gratitude to all stakeholders, including EPFO members, employers, district and union territory administration authorities, and his dedicated team. He emphasized the importance of various initiatives to increase coverage, compliance, and stakeholder awareness through seminars, webinars, and social media platforms like WhatsApp, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Koo.
EPFO Jammu, being one of the most challenging offices, was responsible for handling service delivery for the union territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. The office introduced innovative measures such as flexible working hours, which improved efficiency and the effectiveness of service delivery.
The EPFO Regional Office in Jammu reaffirmed its commitment to providing efficient, effective, and transparent services to all stakeholders and looked forward to continued support from the people of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
Key team members from EPFO RO Jammu who played pivotal roles in coordinating and facilitating the programs under the leadership of Shri Rizwan Uddin included Raja Sekhar Dasari, SSSA, Pritpal Singh ASO, Pranav Gupta ASO, Mukesh Kumar SS, Rajan Kumar, SSSA.
The EPFO Jammu office conducted a series of outreach programs in every border district of J&K and Ladakh. These initiatives received support from various district administrations, including Samba, Udhampur, Ramban, Kishtwar, Bandipora, and many others, which further enriched the discussions on improving EPFO services.
EPFO Jammu’s small but dedicated team, comprising outsourced employees, played a crucial role in maintaining regular communication with establishments to ensure contributions were remitted on time.
