Jammu, Dec 31: EPFO, Regional Office Jammu organized an event on the occasion of closing of the calendar year 2022 to bid farewell to the year gone by and to appreciate the achievements of consistently good performers and those who enthusiastically volunteered in the innovative initiatives of office such as working in flexi-timing mode during the year.
Vasu Yadav (IFS) MD, JKFDCL graced his presence on this occasion and distributed awards to consistent performers during the year. He was welcomed by Rizwan Uddin, RPFC – I, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh along with Ajit Kumar Mishra, RPFC – II.
Vasu Yadav shared his valuable views during the event and appreciated the efforts being made by EPFO RO Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh said that EPFO is providing services to all the stakeholders in a seamless manner. He said that as a public servant all officials should have a cordial approach towards citizens as they are the ultimate employer of all the public servants.
On this occasion, Rizwan Uddin, RPFC – I recounted some of the major achievements of the EPFO Regional Offices in the UTs of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh such as processing of about 1.5 Lakh claims by EPFO Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh during FY 2022- 23 till December, 2022.
The resolutions of technical issue wherein PF amount of large number of employees were stuck. The resolution was possible due to active involvement of CPFC, Neelam Shami Rao (IAS) and follow-up by the office from NDC team.
Another major technical issue was resolved wherein DoJ of employees prior to November, 2019 was not being able to update in the system. A total of 29 pension cases were processed by EPFO Jammu and Kashmir during December, 2022.
Pension Payment Orders (PPOs) were also handed over to the pensioners on the occasion, the EPFO said, adding, “This included Orphan Pension in favour of Bipasha Raina and Ashmita Raina D/o Late Tej Krishna Raina with Rs. 2176 each; Widow Pension in favour of Sukhmeet Kaur w/o Late S. Inderjeet Singh and children pension to Ravjot Singh with pension amount being Rs. 2391 and Rs. 598 respectively; and another widow and children pension in favour of Waheeda Begum (wife), Ritba Banoo (daughter) and Ruveda Banoo with pension amount being Rs. 2901, Rs. 725 and Rs. 725 respectively. The above family of late Mohd Muzaffar (died in tunnel collapse accident at Ramban) resides in Village Panthyal, Ramban.”
