Jammu, Apr 05: Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Jammu has shown consistent growth in its administrative account income over the past three years, achieving a record-high receipt of Rs 93 lakh in Account No-2. The average income has seen a significant rise, reaching Rs 81 lakh per month in the financial year 2023-24, compared to Rs 57 lakh per month in 2020-21, reflecting a remarkable growth of over forty percent in three years.
According to a statement issued by the EPFO, Sanjeev Kumar, Senior Social Security Assistant (SSSA), showcased exemplary performance by processing 903 claims in a single day on 25.03.2024, demonstrating self-motivation and dedication towards customer sensitivity.
“The ethos of EPFO has been embraced by employees absorbed from J&K EPFO, with many officials adopting flexible-working to optimize system efficiency during non-peak hours. Additionally, a dedicated team is available in the Commissioner’s Secretariat to provide support and assistance to visitors at EPFO, Jammu,” it said.
To further accelerate growth and increase membership, the Regional PF Commissioner-I, Rizwan Uddin formed a team of DEO for consistent follow-up in “call center mode” and e-mails. The initiative “Nidhi Apke Nikat 2.0” has been launched by the Central PF Commissioner Neelam Shami Rao, providing facilitation and support to employers, especially Principal Employers. EPFO, Jammu has played a vital role in encouraging defaulting contractors/sub-contractors into compliance, thereby increasing coverage in districts like Kishtwar, Doda, Samba, Kathua, and Ramban.
EPFO, Jammu aimed at increasing the income of the Administrative Account (Account No 2) during the financial year 2023-24, achieving over seven percent growth compared to 2022-23. The average monthly income in Account No 2 has witnessed significant growth over the years, from Rs 57 lakh in 2020-21 to Rs 81 lakh in 2023-24, marking a growth of over forty-two percent.
The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Regional Office – Jammu operates in flexible-hours to efficiently manage claims processing. EPFO Jammu said it serves the entire Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh region, ensuring timely settlement of claims, redressal of grievances, and facilitating stakeholders.
PF Commissioner Rizwan Uddin personally intervenes in return rejections, aiming to reduce it below 11% in the financial year 2024-25. Emphasizing team building and customer sensitivity, Commissioner Rizwan has focused on enhancing service quality over the past two and a half years.
Under the leadership of Rizwan Uddin, a team of officials from EPFO Regional Office Jammu has processed hundreds of pension cases, providing benefits to family members and deceased persons, the organisation said, adding, “Special emphasis has been laid on settlement of death claims, ensuring timely benefits for claimants. EPFO, Jammu continues to uphold its commitment to efficient service delivery and stakeholder satisfaction.”
