EPFO Jammu bids farewell to 2022, thanks stakeholders

Jammu, Dec 30: Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Regional Office Jammu organized an event on the occasion of the closing of the calendar year 2022 to appreciate the achievements of consistently good performers and those who enthusiastically volunteered in the innovative initiatives of the office such as working in flexi-timing mode during the year. 
Vasu Yadav (IFS) MD, JKFDCL graced his presence on the occasion and distributed awards to consistent performers during the year. He was welcomed by Rizwan Uddin, Regional P.F. Commissioner (J&K and Ladakh). 
“Pension is the most relevant form of social security for employees and their family members in times of need and eventualities,” the EPFO Regional Office, Jammu said in a statement, adding that it has initiated the process of settlement of pension claims from the offices of Jammu and Kashmir itself. 
In some of the cases, pension is being disbursed to widows and family members of even such members in respect of whom pension contribution equivalent to one month pension has been remitted by the employer, it added. 
“Pension claim in r/o Late Arun Kumar –Tara Chand (father) and Rakesh Kumari (mother) with the monthly pension (dependent parent pension) amount being Rs. 2591, and Rs. 2591 respectively. Pension claim has also been settled in r/o Late Vijay Kumar Bhat- Santosh Kumari Bhat (widow) and Mohit Bhat (son) with monthly pension amount being Rs. 5558 and Rs. 1389 respectively,” the EPFO said. 
Rizwan Uddin, Regional P.F. Commissioner (J&K and Ladakh),and Pritpal Singh (Assistant Section Officer) distributed the PPO to the pensioners who visited the Regional Office, Jammu. All the pensioners who visited EPFO, Jammu expressed their pleasure and appreciated the efforts made to team EPFO, Jammu in disbursing their monthly pension.
