Ramban, Feb 27: In a major outreach initiative, the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Jammu, in collaboration with the district administration Ramban Thursday conducted the ‘Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0’ awareness programme at Conference Hall, Maitra.
The programme, led by Provident Fund Commissioner Jammu, Rizwan-ud-din, aimed to educate employers and employees about EPF schemes, digital grievance redressal mechanisms, and social security benefits. Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, extended full support to the initiative, ensuring better implementation of EPF and MP Act across various establishments. Over 80 employer representatives attended the session, where they were guided on PF contributions, pension benefits, insurance coverage, and fraud prevention. A key highlight of the programme was the review of EPF compliance among construction companies, private schools, and contractors. The PF Commissioner directed all firms to ensure 100 percent employee enrolment and timely deposit of EPF contributions to secure pension and insurance benefits. Employers were also advised to obtain EPF codes from Jammu, ensuring smooth processing for local workers. Senior district officials, including the ACD, CEO, CMO, DMO, and Executive Engineers, were instructed to monitor and enforce EPF registration for employees working under agencies and contractors in their jurisdiction.
Participants received detailed guidance on filing grievances through digital platforms like EPFiGMS and CPGRAMS. Hands-on training covered–UAN Activation and aadhaar-bank seeding, e-nomination and online claim filing and employer compliance requirements. The interactive session allowed employees and employers to address concerns directly with the PF Commissioner and district nodal officers. The programme witnessed active participation from various sectors, reinforcing the commitment to expanding social security benefits in Ramban. The PF Commissioner thanked DC Ramban Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary, along with key officials like CEO Ramban Bikram Singh, ACD Ramban Shrinath Suman, ALC Ramban Amit Kumar, and NHIA project director Ramban Purshotam Singh, for their coordinated efforts in ensuring smooth implementation of EPFO schemes. With greater awareness and compliance efforts, EPFO aims to strengthen financial security for workers in Jammu and Kashmir, ensuring comprehensive coverage under provident fund, pension, and insurance schemes.
