Srinagar, Dec 17: National Conference chief spokesperson and MLA Zadibal Tanvir Sadiq on Tuesday said entrepreneurship is a crucial solution to combat the rising unemployment rates in Jammu and Kashmir.
He said this while inaugurating the DIC Exhibition at Baghi Ali Mardan, Nowshera. The exhibition showcased various initiatives and opportunities to promote entrepreneurship and empower local businesses.
Highlighting the importance of creating opportunities for individuals to start their own businesses and contribute to the economic growth of the region, Sadiq said the government led by Omar Abdullah is actively working towards creating a conducive environment for entrepreneurs to thrive and succeed.
He reiterated the significance of entrepreneurship in addressing the unemployment crisis in Jammu and Kashmir and commended the DIC’s commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and enterprise in the region.
Sadiq said the most powerful solution to tackle this issue and empower the younger generation is by fostering entrepreneurship opportunities. “The NC manifesto clearly articulates the party’s vision and mission through the Employment Act, demonstrating the government’s commitment to creating a thriving startup ecosystem in the region,” he said.
The MLA Zadibal distributed cheques among newly established entrepreneurs to encourage and support their ventures, emphasising the crucial role of entrepreneurship in driving economic growth and creating job opportunities in the region.
He commended the District Industries Centre (DIC) for hosting the exhibition, which showcases the potential of young and ambitious entrepreneurs. Tanvir reaffirmed the Jammu & Kashmir National Conference’s dedication to backing youth and small businesses for a thriving future.
Meanwhile, Tanvir Sadiq on Monday paid a condolence visit to the residence of Jammu and Kashmir Jamiat Hamdania president, late Haji Abdul Rashid Ghani, at Baghi Ali Mardan Nowshera here.
Ghani had breathed his last recently. Tanvir offered heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the Ghani household on their bereavement.
Accompanied by the party’s local unit functionaries, Sadiq expressed his condolences to the sons and brother of the late Abdul Rashid Gahni. He also offered Fatiha for the deceased during the visit. MLA Hazratbal Salman Ali Sagar also visited the bereaved household to share in their grief and offered Fatiha.
