Srinagar, Nov 18: A one-week entrepreneurship skill development training program on “Waste to Wealth” was inaugurated at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir Shuhama campus.
The workshop is organised by the SKUAST-K’s Division of Veterinary Physiology, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry, Shuhama under the sponsorship of Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME). More than 25 unemployed undergraduate students from different colleges are participating in this training programme.
Head Division of Veterinary Physiology and Biochemistry, Prof ZA Pampori, who is the convener of the training, highlighted the importance of agriculture waste handling and it’s Management. Dr. Mohammad Rayees Dar, organizer of the training apprised about the program. Dean FVSc & AH, Prof. Shayaib Ahmad Kamil gave an in-depth discourse on the familiarization of different methods of waste handling and management to improve their capabilities resulting in higher productivity and profitability of existing and potential entrepreneurs and developing new enterprises and enlightened the trainees about the different models opted in India for recycling the waste into wealth to lower the impact on ecological chain and biodiversity.
