Srinagar, Sept 20: The Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, presided over a high-level meeting on Wednesday to ensure seamless and necessary arrangements for the forthcoming religious occasions of Eid-Milad (SAW) and the following Friday in the Kashmir Division.
Addressing the gathering, Bidhuri directed all officers to ensure the provision of high-quality facilities at major shrines, including Aasar-i-Sharief Hazratbal, Jenab Sahib Soura, Aasar-i-Sharief Kalashpora, Aham-i-Sharief Bandipora, Kabamarg Anantnag, and Peth Makhama Beerwah Budgam, in addition to other prominent locations.
He emphasised the importance of making essential services readily accessible to the general public, especially the devotees visiting these revered shrines.
Special attention was placed on arrangements at Hazratbal Shrine in Srinagar, encompassing sanitation, health camp setup, road maintenance, provision of drinking water tankers, uninterrupted power supply, efficient transportation of devotees by SRTC buses, parking facilities, security measures, and other essential amenities.
During the meeting, Deputy Commissioners and other officials provided detailed briefings on the preparations in their respective districts to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi (S.A.W).
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioners from Anantnag, Bandipora, and Budgam, along with officials from traffic police, transport, power, health, PHE (Public Health Engineering), SMC (Srinagar Municipal Corporation), Food and Civil Supplies, and various other departments.
