Ensure foolproof R-Day arrangements: DC Shopian

Shopian, Jan 19: To finalise the arrangements for Republic Day 2023 celebrations, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian Sachin Kumar Vaishya on Thursday chaired a meeting of concerned officers at the DC Office Complex here. The meeting finalised arrangements for smooth and error-free conduct of the national event.
The DC directed all the concerned departments to make foolproof arrangements for R-Day celebrations. He asked the security agencies to ensure foolproof security at all venues throughout the district.
Various issues including seating arrangements, barricading, security, traffic regulation, drinking water and power supply, sanitation, first-aid, PAS, fire-tenders, and media gallery were discussed and finalised. The contingents of Police, CRPF, JKP, Home Guard, NCC, school children, besides Police Band will be part of the celebration. The meeting was attended by Senior Superintendent of Police, Tanushree; Additional Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Yar Ali Khan; District and sectoral officers.
