JAMMU, FEB 28: Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar presided over a crucial meeting today to assess the strategies implemented by various stakeholders to streamline traffic flow along the Dalwas-Ramban section of the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway.
ADGP Jammu, Deputy Commissioners, and SSPs from Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, and Ramban, alongside the SSP Traffic National Highway and officials from NHAI accompanied.
Deliberations during the session revolved around devising effective measures to ensure unhindered movement of traffic on the Dalwas-Ramban stretch.
The Divisional Commissioner emphasized the necessity for NHAI authorities to intensify efforts towards maintaining the stretch, aiming to mitigate travel inconveniences for commuters.Furthermore, stringent enforcement of cut-off timings for Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) and Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMVs), along with other traffic regulations, was underscored by the Div Com.
The Deputy Commissioners were tasked with the installation of signboards aimed at enhancing driver convenience and road safety.
