Kargil, Jan 28: In a significant stride towards empowering women in the Kargil region, Mrs. Roma Bahl, wife of Brigadier Vinay Bahl, Chief Engineer Project Vijayak, has joined forces with Team Stringmo of Young Artists. The collaborative initiative aims to provide professional training and support to young girls in the area, nurturing their artistic skills for a brighter future.
Mrs. Bahl, herself an Arts graduate and a practicing artist, recently convened a meeting at the work station near Degree College Kargil with Team Stringmo. During the discussion, she highlighted the importance of art in empowering individuals and shared her commitment to conducting two art classes per week, focusing on various forms of art with a professional intent.
The primary goal is to equip young girls with the skills necessary to earn from their artistic talents, contributing to their self-reliance. Mentor of Young Artists of Kargil, Sajjad Hussain Bob, shared the remarkable history of Team Stringmo during the meeting, emphasizing their journey and achievements.
Mrs. Bahl was particularly moved by the extraordinary skills of Nasreen Fatima, a specially-abled girl child who is deaf and dumb. Despite her challenges, Nasreen’s artistic abilities caught Mrs. Bahl’s attention, reinforcing the transformative power of art.
Kaneez Fatima, the Team Leader of Stringmo, expressed gratitude towards Mrs. Roma Bahl for her initiative and acknowledged the ongoing support from the Indian Army. This collaboration underscores the positive impact community-focused initiatives can have on the lives of individuals, especially young girls aspiring to develop their artistic talents.
The joint effort between Mrs. Roma Bahl and Team Stringmo reflects a commitment to creating opportunities and fostering creativity within the community. This collaboration is poised to bring about positive changes, empowering young girls and promoting inclusivity through the medium of art.
