Pulwama, Dec 10: In an intense T20 cricket final held at a sports stadium in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Sunday, Elite Cricket Club Heff emerged victorious by defeating RCB Badirwan in a nail-biting match.
Chasing a target of 135 runs, Heff Cricket Club showcased an impressive display of skill and determination, reaching 135-5 in just 16.5 overs.
Zahid’s unbeaten 25 runs off 16 balls, including 1 four and 2 sixes, played a pivotal role in steering his team to victory.
His partnership with Zahid 2, who contributed a blistering 36 not out off 19 balls, sealed the win. Jhanghir stood out with the ball for Heff Cricket Club, claiming three crucial wickets for just 25 runs in his four-over spell.
The bowlers worked in tandem to restrict RCB Badirwan to 134-8 in 18 overs, with Zahir Pollard and Mushtaq making valuable contributions. In a match filled with twists and turns, RCB Badirwan fought hard, but Heff Cricket Club’s strong batting display secured their victory.
Zahid Reyaz was declared the man of the match for his outstanding performance.
Saqib Malik was adjudged as the man of the tournament for his all-around performance with the bat and the ball.
The tournament, organized by 55 RR Tahab, featured 16 participating teams.
The Commanding Officer of 55 RR graced the prize distribution ceremony and encouraged youth to participate in various sporting activities, including volleyball, basketball, football, along with cricket.
