Elderly man died after he slipped and fell into a power Canal in Kangan area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
Official sources said that an elderly man identified as Bashir Ahmed Wani (60) from Wani Mohla kangan fell from the foot bridge of power canal Kangan.
Soon after receiving the information police party from P/S Kangan reached the spot and after hectic efforts body has been retrieved from the canal.
He said after medico legal formalities body has been handed over to the family for last rites.
Police has taken cognizance of the incident.
