Tragedy struck as a fatal road accident claimed the life of an elderly man in Bijbehara area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Wednesday.
The incident occurred near Arwani crossing Bijbehara when an alto car was hit by truck.
An official from Police Station Bijbehara told The Rising Kashmir that a victim identified as Gh Mohd Bhat (57) son of Mohd Amin Bhat resident of Bongam Kulgam received injuries after a truck collided his alto car bearing regd. No JK18C 2173 at Arwani crossing Bijbehara.
“He was shifted to hospital in injured condition where he succumbed to injuries,” official said.
An official confirmed that they have arrested truck driver who collided an Alto Car.
He said that they have registered a case under relevant sections of law in this regard.
