Elderly man injured in bear attack in Ganderbal

An elderly man was injured after being attacked by a bear in forest area of central Kashmir’s district Gandarbal on Saturday. 

An official told that soon after the incident he was shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment, where from he was referred to SKIMS Soura. 

He has been identified as Ghulam Nabi Dar of Yarmuqam.

The official said that a team of wildlife officials has been sent to the area to capture the animal—(KNO)
