Srinagar, March 06: The Health & Medical Education Department has informed the Jammu and Kashmir Government that efforts are underway to fill vacant consultant posts at the Sub District Hospital (SDH) Nagri.
The information was provided by the Minister of Health and Medical Education Department in the Legislative Assembly in response to a starred question raised by Dr. Bharat Bhusan, MLA from the Kathua Assembly Constituency, regarding the non-functional specialties at the hospital.
The House was informed that SDH Nagri is operational and functional, with nine doctors, including specialists in Consultant Medicine, Medical Officers, and Dental Surgery.
Additionally, four more doctors from the National Health Mission (NHM) have been posted in Block Parole, further strengthening healthcare services in the area.
“However, some consultant posts remain vacant. Efforts are underway to fill these vacancies, and the necessary posts will be referred to the recruiting agency in near future for recruitment,” the reply stated.
