Jammu, Jan 12: Apni Party Senior Vice President, Ghulam Hassan Mir on Friday advised the people with a vision and intellect to join politics in Jammu & Kashmir to bring peace, prosperity and sustainable development.
“The educated people should come forward and join politics before it is too late. They have better plans to implement their ideas for the upliftment of the society and eradicate discrimination whether it is in the name of caste, creed, region or religion,” Mir said here while speaking at a party meeting of leaders from Bahu Constituency.
He said that the participation of educated people in politics can bring positive changes in Jammu and Kashmir. “The growing concerns of the people can only be addressed when the people with a vision and intellectual class come forward and take over the politics of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said while advising the party leaders to expand their focus areas across the Jammu region from every nook and corner of the city to the peripheral areas.
The Apni Party leader said the people feel misled by the traditional political parties that have given rise to the multiple issues and these public issues need to be addressed appropriately.
“The Apni Party has gained the support of the people from all the regions and accordingly, it has expanded its roots across Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
He also said the people continue to suffer in the absence of an elected government in J&K.
While urging the election commission of India to hold assembly polls, G H Mir said that J&K has no elected institution to represent the people left except DDCs.
Meanwhile, he also discussed organizational issues and directed the party cadre to work in coordination to ensure the effective implementation of the policies and programs of the Apni Party. He impressed upon the constituency-wise party programs across Jammu to address public issues and strengthen the Party.
Earlier, Provincial President, Jammu, Apni Party, S. Manjit Singh also spoke on the occasion and explained the party’s organizational working. He said people from different walks of life have joined the Apni Party in Jammu while expressing their faith in the leadership of Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari.
