Edu Min announces syllabus reduction for Nov exams

Srinagar: Education Minister Sakina Itoo on Thursday said the students scheduled to take exams in mid-November will benefit from a reduction in the syllabus.
The decision follows the government’s adjustment of the academic calendar from March to November session.
Speaking to the reporters here, Itoo indicated that examinations for students in grades 1 through 9 in the Kashmir Valley and Winter Zone areas of the Jammu division are set to commence in mid to late November 2024.
“We aim to ensure that examinations for students in winter zone areas are concluded promptly, as there is a possibility of snowfall at any time,” she said.
The minister assured that the concerns of students will be addressed, and a syllabus reduction will be implemented for students up to 9th grade.
