Jammu, Mar 04: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) J&K Executive Member Raman Suri on Monday appreciated the election campaign advisory issued by the Election Commission of India (ECI).
“Such steps initiated well in advance will ensure fair and ethical elections wherein political parties will not use foul or abusive language, will not indulge in mudslinging and, also adhere to the ethics of electioneering to ensure that issue-based campaign is undertaken for the good of society as well as the nation,” he said in a statement issued here.
Suri also hailed the candidature of Union Minister in PMO Dr Jitendra Singh and MP Jugal Kishore Sharma for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. “These BJP leaders have done commendable work in their respective constituencies and are the most deserving candidates,” he said.
Seeking public support for the BJP candidates, Raman said, “Their victory will strengthen Narendra Modi’s vision of taking Bharat to new heights.”
He said, “Unlike other political parties which, out of frustration, use foul and abusive language, BJP believes in the politics of ethics. The BJP leaders, candidates and campaigners have always been seeking votes for the development of the nation and the weaker sections of the society, irrespective of their caste, creed, region, or religion. It is due to the actual works done by the BJP government and the complete fulfilment of the points mentioned in the election manifesto, that the party is going to people to seek the third term.”
Suri said adhering to the advice of the ECI and the party’s moral values, the BJP is going to polls with the sole agenda of building a strong Viksit Bharat. “It was because of the BJP government that, for the first time in the history of Bharat, a corruption-free administration was put in place to give justice to the people. Massive infrastructural development coupled with administrative reforms and global acceptance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership are the top few achievements on which people are going to give BJP a third term,” he said.
“ECI’s advice to refrain from any deeds, actions, or utterances that may be construed as being repugnant to the honour and dignity of women will be adhered to and no unverified and misleading advertisements will be used besides utmost care will be taken by our campaigners while using social media,” the BJP leader added.
