An earthquake of 4.4 magnitude struck Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS).
The tremor was felt at 09:55 PM. So far, there is no report of any damage. The depth of the earthquake was 18 kilometres.
“Earthquake of Magnitude:4.4, Occurred on 17-06-2023, 21:55:39 IST, Lat: 33.04 & Long: 75.70, Depth: 18 Km ,Location: Doda, Jammu and Kashmir, India”, NCS tweeted.
It is pertinent to mention that this is the eighth earthquake that was reported from Chenab valley in last 5 days and second earthquake in a day.
Earlier on Saturday afternoon, a 3.0 magnitude earthquake hits Ramban district but there was no report of any damage.
