Baramulla, Aug 13: Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, the National Executive Committee Member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Chairperson of the Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board, on Tuesday chaired a convention here, as part of the party’s Manifesto Outreach initiative.
Dr Andrabi, along with other senior leaders, interacted with twenty-nine delegations from various sectors. These delegations provided their input and feedback for the BJP’s upcoming election manifesto.
Among the leaders present were north Kashmir Prabhari Mohammad Anwar Khan, Ex-MLC Surinder Ambardar, DDC Member Er Aijaz Hussain, Baramulla Prabhari M M War, District President BJP Baramulla Raja Waqar, General Secretary Farooq Ahmad, and other Morcha Incharges, a statement issued here said.
In her address, Dr Darakhshan said the BJP is committed to the welfare of the people. “BJP, unlike other political parties, believes in the power of people and this mega exercise of getting inputs for the party’s election document is the endorsement of this spirit of grassroots connections and beliefs of the party,” she said, adding that Kashmir is enthusiastically participating in this mega reach out.
The Waqf Board Chairperson said the “dynastic politics” has plagued Jammu and Kashmir. “It has caused significant harm to the region,” she said.
She added, “I am surprised to listen to the rhetoric of the dynasts about the resolution of public problems. Those parties who are the problem creators in J&K are talking about the solutions now. However, the BJP has always offered solutions and freed the people of J&K from the politics of bloodshed and exploitation.”
