Srinagar, Dec 03:
The Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) on Tuesday submitted a proposal to the Principal Secretary of the School Education Department, seeking approval for the announcement of winter vacations for schools across the Kashmir Valley in a phased manner. The proposal highlights that the current weather conditions, particularly the cold wave and dense fog affecting the region, have made it necessary to declare winter vacations.
According to the proposal, the winter vacation for classes up to second primary is recommended to begin from December 9, 2024, and end on February 24, 2025. For classes from 3rd primary to class 12th, the vacation is proposed from December 16, 2024, to February 24, 2025. The proposal concludes with a request for further instructions and necessary orders regarding the vacation schedule.
