Udhampur, June 03: Additional Deputy Commissioner Joginder Singh Jasrotia on Monday chaired a meeting here to discuss the establishment of a Drug De-Addiction Centre in District Udhampur by the District Red Cross Society under the National Action Plan for Drug Demand Reduction (NAPDDR).
District Social Welfare Officer, Kanika Gupta; Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Tehsildar Udhampur and Medical Superintendent GMC Udhampur attended the meeting.
Threadbare discussions were held regarding the setup for the Drug De-Addiction Centre which included infrastructure requirements, necessary facilities, and logistical arrangements to ensure the center’s effective operation.
During the meeting, the Tehsildar Udhampur was tasked with identifying suitable accommodations for the establishment of the centre. The ADC emphasised the importance of coordinating with NGOs to ensure the smooth functioning of the Drug De-Addiction Centre.
