Drug control authorities inspect Kulgam areas

Kulgam, July 17: Continuing its efforts to streamline digital record maintenance alongside good pharmacy practices, a team of Drug Control Authorities in Kulgam today conducted extensive inspections of various Kulgam areas viz. Khudwani, Yaripora, Budroo and Kulgam.As per a statement issued here, two shops were closed down on spot u/s 22(d) one each at Budroo and Yaripora near SDH for violating different conditions of licenses and non compliance to Govt. directive with respect to computerized billing systems.It has time and again been reiterated to all the chemists and distributors of the area to maintain sale and purchase records by digital means so as to have an effective and transparent mechanism to ascertain the supply chains of medicine, statement revealed.Drug samples of several companies were also lifted for analysis purposes to ascertain their quality.
