Drass, April 02: A vehicle traveling from Kargil to Srinagar met with an accident en route at Gasgund, skidding off the road and plunging approximately 70 feet down, resulting in injuries to the driver.
The accident involved a vehicle bearing registration number JK16C-1787, which lost control and veered off the road. The driver, identified as Munir Ahmad Bhat, son of Mohammad Shafi Bhat, a resident of Bemina, Srinagar, sustained injuries in the mishap. He was initially shifted to SD Hospital Drass for medical treatment and later referred to District Hospital Kargil for further care.
Authorities have registered FIR No. 3/2025 under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), and an investigation has been initiated.
