Dr Farooq, Omar condole demise of M Qasim, enquire GN Shaheen’s health

Srinagar, Sep 07: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference president and Member of Parliament from Srinagar Dr Farooq Abdullah and Vice President Omar Abdullah have expressed profound grief over the demise of Mohammad Qasim, Ex-CE PDD. 
The duo prayed for peace to the departed soul and fortitude to the bereaved to bear the inconsolable loss. Among others, General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Addl General Secretary Dr Sheikh Mustafa Kamal, Treasurer Shammi Oberoi, Senior leaders Mian Altaf Ahmad, Abdul Rahim Rather, Provincial Presidents Nasir Aslam Wani Sogami, Ratan Lal Gupta, party leaders Javed Rana, Ajaz Jan and local party unit functionaries of district Rajouri also extended sympathies and condolences to the bereaved family. 
Meanwhile, senior party leader Mian Altaf Ahmad Larvi also travelled to Rajouri to attend the last rites of Late Qasim. 
Dr Farooq and Omar also expressed condolence over the demise of the maternal aunt of the party leader and district president Sajjad Shaheen. The deceased was the mother-in-law of DDC counsellor Banihal Rabia Beigh and also Late Saira Begum, the wife of Late Mohd Sharif Beigh of Banihal. 
Meanwhile, the duo visited SKIMS, Soura, to enquire about the health of former party Provincial President and MLC Ghulam Nabi Shaheen who has been keeping unwell and undergoing treatment at the hospital. 
Party Treasurer Shammi Oberoi, Provincial President Kashmir Nasir Aslam Wani and Political Advisor to VP Mudassar Shahmiri accompanied them on the visit. The duo prayed for the early recovery of the ailing leader and expressed unison with the family members, particularly his daughter and party’s Additional State Spokesperson Sarah Hayat Shah. 
Later in the day, various other party leaders and office bearers visited the ailing leader and wished him a swift and complete recovery, the party statement said.
