Dr. Farooq, Omar Abdullah welcome Waqar Khan into NC

Srinagar, 18 Nov: National Conference (NC) President Dr. Farooq Abdullah Saturday said that the National Conference runs on the principles uniting diverse citizens of all regions, religions and castes.
This he said while welcoming noted social activist and youth icon Waqar Khan and scores of his associates into the party fold at his Gupkar residence.
Party vice-president Omar Abdullah, who was also present on the occasion also accorded a warm welcome to the new entrant hoping that his joining the party ranks will encourage youth to see politics as a medium to foster positive changes in the society.
Among others Party General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, chief spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq, District President Kupwara Qaisar Jamsheed Lone, Political advisor to President Mushtaq Guroo, Deputy Political Secretary to VP Mudassir Shahmiri, DDC Kupwara (Sogam) Nasir Lone, YNC, Social Media, and Media cell functionaries were also present on the occasion.
Welcoming Khan into the party fold, Dr. Farooq said, “I welcome Waqar into the NC family. I hope and pray his joining the party goes a long way in motivating educated and talented youth of J&K to come forward to take active part in civic engagement and politics.”
