Dr Farooq Abdullah returns after performing Umrah

Srinagar, Dec 01: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference president, Dr Farooq Abdullah on Sunday returned to Srinagar after completing the holy Umrah pilgrimage.
He was warmly received by party functionaries, supporters and well-wishers who gathered at his residence to welcome him with enthusiasm and heartfelt greetings, the party said in a statement issued here.
Expressing his gratitude, Dr Farooq thanked Allah for granting him the privilege to undertake this spiritually fulfilling journey.
Reflecting on his prayers during the Umrah, the NC chief said he sought Allah’s guidance in fulfilling the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Dr Adbullah prayed for lasting peace, progress and unity in the region, saying collective efforts are needed to overcome challenges and work towards a brighter future for all.
