Srinagar, Sept 15: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) senior leader Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi on Sunday accused the “dynastic” parties of Jammu & Kashmir, particularly the three major ruling families, of using separatist agendas and divisive tactics for personal gains.
She blamed them for the region’s instability and the bloodshed that affected an entire generation. Andrabi praised the youth of the valley for supporting peace and development and “rejecting outdated family politics”.
The BJP organised a roadshow in Shopian, which was led by Dr Andrabi, who is the party’s national executive member and J&K Waqf Board Chairperson, alongside BJP candidate Javed Qadri and young party leader Irfan Manhas.
Dr Darakhshan in her address said, “During the rule of these dynasties, elections were nearly impossible in highly populated areas, but under BJP’s governance, peace has been restored and democracy is thriving.”
She expressed confidence that Shopian would stand with the BJP in the upcoming elections. “People desire young leadership for peace and progress,” she said.
