Srinagar, Feb 11: Delhi Public School Srinagar, while setting yet another example and milestone in the field of education, has provided school furniture to help the upgradation of infrastructure in various government schools located in the upper region of Tral in Pulwama district of South Kashmir.
A statement issued here said that keeping up with the motto of its school, Learn to Give, DPS Srinagar has always shown concern towards the underprivileged class of the society by assisting in terms of providing help to educate children in various remote areas of the valley.
From January 27 to February 10, Delhi Public School Srinagar delivered 710 classroom desks to multiple schools in Tral. The school, through these gestures, is trying to inculcate the values of generosity, humility, love for society, and the development of a humble personality in the students. This has been a yearly practice since the inception of the school. The school believes that the furniture shall help to enhance the teaching-learning environment of these schools in the far-flung areas and motivate the children to do better.
Speaking on the occasion, the chairman of Delhi Public School Srinagar, Vijay Dhar said: “It gives me immense happiness and contentment to see my children involved in helping others. They have grown to the expectations of the school and are exhibiting great responsible behaviour towards the evolving needs of the society.” The principal, Shafaq Afshan said: “We are trying to serve the society by providing quality education to our children which is not confined to academics only.
