DPAP to support Er Rashid

Srinagar, May 16: Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP), led by Ghulam Nabi Azad, has announced its support for former MLA Er Rashid, president of the Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) and candidate for the Baramulla constituency.
Speaking to the media persons, DPAP senior leader Taj Mohiduddin, said, “Er Rashid is innocent, and people want him out of jail. He has always fought for the people’s cause, so this is injustice.”
Taj further mentioned that after Er Rashid’s son Abrar Rashid appealed to their chairman Ghulam Nabi Azad, the party decided to support him.
He urged voters to vote for the Pressure Cooker symbol to ensure Rashid’s victory.
On former MLA Sangrama, Shoib Lone’s resignation, Taj said that DPAP has been supporting Er Rashid from the beginning and its workers are campaigning for him.
“We don’t know why he is resigning but we have been supporting Er Rashid in North Kashmir,” he added.
