Budgam, Jan 14: Peer Bilal, President of the Central Kashmir Zone of Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP), on Sunday emphasized the party’s commitment to the harmonious growth of Jammu and Kashmir as a cohesive unit.
Speaking at a workers’ meeting in Kuzwara of the Chadoora Constituency, Bilal reiterated the vision of the party chief Ghulam Nabi Azad, focusing on poverty alleviation, regional balance, and ethnic brotherhood as the guiding agenda for DPAP, alongside stability and peace.
Addressing the gathering, he expressed strong disapproval of political adversaries who exploit issues in the UT, causing instability and potentially impacting good governance prospects. He announced DPAP’s decision to launch a mass contact program across all regions of Jammu and Kashmir. “This initiative aims to mobilize grassroots units against divisive campaigns initiated by so-called secular parties in the region,” he said, according to a party statement.
The DPAP leader accused these parties of grappling with electoral defeat and attempting to create trouble and confusion. “Under the dynamic leadership of Mr. Azad, DPAP will strive to thwart the nefarious designs of power-hungry parties,” he asserted.
Encouraging the party cadre to engage with the public and expand the party base, Peer Bilal directed them to prioritize public service. He assured full support and cooperation to party functionaries, with the goal of making DPAP a premier party in Jammu and Kashmir.
