The Jammu and Kashmir government has ordered the Administrative Secretaries and Heads of Departments not to approve any leave, except under exceptional circumstances.
This directive comes in light of the ongoing escalating tensions between India and Pakistan.
In the office memorandum, Additional Secretary Rohit Sharma, urged strict adherence to the instruction across all government departments, stressing that no leave requests should be granted unless there are exceptional reasons.
The order has been circulated to all concerned authorities, including the Director General of Police, Chief Electoral Officer, Divisional Commissioners of both Kashmir and Jammu, as well as various heads of departments and other key officials in the state.
Notably, the decision aims to ensure that essential administrative functions are not hindered during this period, stressing the importance of maintaining operational readiness—(KNO)
