Bandipora, June 15: The medical and paramedical staff at Community Health Center Hajin of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Wednesday successfully performed the first-ever Total Abdomen Hysterectomy (TAH) surgery.
An official told Rising Kashmir that the highly skilled surgical team worked in perfect harmony to ensure the success of this complex surgical procedure.
He said that their synchronized efforts, professionalism, and attention to detail played a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of the patient throughout the entire surgical process.
He further said that the Total Abdomen Hysterectomy surgery, performed to address a major complication of dysfunctional uterine bleeding, was a resounding success. The patient, who had not been responding to medication, received timely and comprehensive care from the dedicated and experienced medical team at CHC Hajin, he said.
Dr Shani Alam who performed this procedure told Rising Kashmir that the patient had a major complication of dysfunctional uterine bleeding and was not responding to medication but with the timely intervention, the surgery was successfully performed which is first of its kind in the sub district.
Expressing his satisfaction, Shani said, “We are delighted to have achieved this milestone. Our team’s expertise, combined with the support of the entire staff, has allowed us to deliver exceptional healthcare services to our community.”
The surgery was conducted free of cost under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, he added.
