DM, SSP review law & order situation in Doda

Doda, Feb 01: A virtual meeting of the Civil Administration and Police Department was held here to review the law and order situation in the district. 
The meeting was chaired by District Magistrate Doda Vishesh Paul Mahajan and attended by Senior Superintendent of Police, Abdul Qayoom; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Dr Ravi Kumar Bhartil ADC Bhaderwah, Chowdhary Dil Mirl ACR, Sanjeev Kumar, SDMs, Dy. SPs, SDPOs, Tehsildars and other concerned officers and officials. 
The meeting held threadbare discussion on various issues with regard to law and order, measures to fight drug menace, prevention of bovine smuggling and maintaining communal harmony and peace in the district.
The meeting also underlined the need to adopt an effective strategy to ensure that the schemes reach the last man standing in the queue. Keeping a close check on illegal constructions, illegal mining and intensifying anti encroachment drives was also stressed upon. The necessity for de-radicalisation in the society was also felt.
Speaking in the meeting, the SSP stressed on maintaining close coordination between police and civil administration for eradicating social evils and efficient tackling of law and order situation, including drug addiction and trafficking in the district.
Emphasis was laid on maintaining record of all history-sheeters, trouble mongers and chronic antisocial elements by sharing of intelligence inputs between the civil and police administration.
The officers of civil and police administration gave feedback to the DM and SSP about the basic concerns of the people in their respective jurisdictions.
