Srinagar, July 17: In a recent review of the ongoing Amarnath Yatra, Divisional Commissioner of Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, assured the public that the government is diligently overseeing accommodation, sanitation, and medical facilities for the pilgrims. Bidhuri emphasized that the administration is closely monitoring all aspects to ensure the best possible arrangements for the yatris.
“We are regularly supervising accommodation, sanitation, and medical facilities,” stated Div Com Bidhuri. He further mentioned that the devotees have expressed their satisfaction with the arrangements made for the yatra. Positive feedback from the pilgrims is being received, and the administration remains on the ground to closely monitor the situation.
Bidhuri also highlighted the pleasant weather in Kashmir, on-spot RFID registration, and the warm welcome extended to the yatris. Each day, an average of 25,000 devotees are being served at the base camps. The administration is committed to providing comprehensive facilities and hopes that the yatris will carry fond memories with them.
“We encourage more devotees to participate in the yatra, as it will boost the local economy and the tourism industry in the region,” expressed Div Com Bidhuri.
Over the past 17 days, more than 1 lakh yatris have successfully completed the Amarnath Yatra in the Himalayan region. The annual pilgrimage, spanning 62 days, commenced on July 1, with two tracks available—the traditional 48-km Nunwan-Pahalgam route in Anantnag and the shorter 14-km Baltal route in Ganderbal.
