He emphasised upon the concerned Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) to conduct revisions according to guidelines of ECI as per notified schedule and expedite the process for achieving targets.

The chair was informed that all ERO/ AEROs of District Srinagar were provided with necessary training regarding Electoral Registration process in the last week of July. They were also educated about voter helpline App for filing registration of newly eligible voters. Trainings were imparted to newly appointed BLOs as well before the commencement of H2H Survey.

Besides, it was given that out of total 932 BLOs of District Srinagar, 827 BLOs are locals as they are registered as electors in their respective parts, while as the remaining 105 BLOs are electors of adjacent polling areas.

To register weaker and marginalized sections, awareness programmes have been taken to ensure registration of weaker/ marginalized.
