District level inter-school sports competitions culminate at Ganderbal

Ganderbal, July 02: The Youth Services and Sports (YSS) Ganderbal successfully concluded a series of district-level inter-school competitions, highlighting and nurturing the talents and skills of students across various sports disciplines.
As per the calendar of activities, the district-level inter-school Judo competition for boys and girls All Age Groups (AAG) commenced yesterday at the Indoor Sports Complex Sehpora, Ganderbal. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students throughout the district.
Both boys and girls showcased their judo prowess across various weight categories.
The winners were awarded medals in a presentation ceremony by senior officials, celebrating their dedication and achievements.
In another event, Zone Ganderbal conducted selection trials for U17 and U19 girls’ football at MM Stadium Ganderbal. The trials attracted a large number of enthusiastic participants, with girls from different schools displaying their football skills and competing for a spot in the selection.
The energy and talent displayed were commendable, reflecting the high level of interest and potential in girls’ football within the district.
Additionally, Zone Hariganiwan organized an inter-school zonal level handball competition for boys U19 at BHSS Hariganiwan ground.
The competition witnessed a thrilling final match between BHSS Kullan and BHSS Gund, with both teams playing with remarkable vigor. Ultimately, BHSS Kullan emerged victorious in a close and exciting match. Both teams were honored with trophies by senior officials, serving as a motivational boost and recognition of their efforts and sportsmanship.
These events not only provided a platform for students to exhibit their sports talents but also fostered a spirit of healthy competition and camaraderie among the participants.
