District Baramulla lifts U-14 UT Level Inter District Cricket Tournament 2024

Anantnag, Aug 24: District Anantnag lifts the title of U-14 UT Level Inter District Cricket Tournament 2024 organized by YSS Department J&K hosted by DYSSO Anantnag.
In the final match District Baramulla defeated Pulwama by 3 wickets on Saturday here at Wanpora Sports ground Qazigund Anantnag. Earlier while batting first, Pulwama set the target of 137 runs, in which Musadik Younus scored 30 runs and Murtaza scored 20 runs as highest. From Baramulla side, Mohd Mudrik took 3 wickets and Arafat took 2 wickets.
In reply Baramulla chased down the target with 3 wickets in hand. Thus, Baramulla lifts the title of the tournament. From Baramulla side, Ifham Iftikhar scored 41 runs, Hanan Sameer scored 30 runs and Mohd Mudrik 23 runs. From Pulwama side Mehran Gulzar took 3 wickets and Huzaif Manzoor took 2 wickets. On the post-match presentation Ceremony, DYSSO Anantnag Raja Yaqoob was the chief guest along with ZPEO Qazigund, who gave away the Trophies and Medals to both the teams. Mohd Mudrik was declared as man of the match for his for 23 runs with the bat and 3 wickets with the bowl. Earlier U-17 age group Cricket Tournament was inaugurated by Principal BHSS Bijbehara Nasreena Akhter at Bijbehara Venue.
In the tournament teams from all the 10 districts are participating. The tournament will be played at four different venues of Anantnag viz Bijbehara, Dooru, Qazigund and Railway ground Hassanpora Arwani.
