District Athletic Championship concludes with enthusiastic participation

Baramulla, Dec 28: The 3rd District Athletic Championship, organized by the District Baramulla Athletics Association, concluded successfully at Showket Ali Stadium Baramulla on Thursday. 
The event, conducted under the aegis of the Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Athletics Association in collaboration with Boys College Baramulla and J&K Sports Council, witnessed the spirited participation of over 200 athletes, both boys and girls.
Under the supervision of Bushan Singh-President, Aadil Sher-General Secretary, and other association members, the championship showcased various track and field events. 
The presence of the Chief Guest, Principal of Boys Degree College Baramulla, and the Guest of Honour, Director of Physical Education at Boys Degree College Baramulla, along with the Manager of J&K Sports Council Baramulla, added to the event’s significance.
The Baramulla Athletics Championship 2023 featured events for different age categories, including U-14 (60m, 600m, Standard Broad Jump), U-16 (80m, 300m, Standing Broad Jump), U-18 (100m, 200m, 1000m), U-20 (100m, 200m, 800m), and Open Category (100m, 200m, 400m, 1500m, Javelin Throw, Shot Put).
The organizers expressed satisfaction with the successful execution of the championship and conveyed their commitment to hosting more events in the future, fostering a culture of athletics in the district.
