Anantnag, Mar 11: In a bid to foster sporting talents at the grassroots level, the District Anantnag Ball Badminton Association, in collaboration with the Jammu & Kashmir Ball Badminton Association, is set to host the eagerly anticipated District Anantnag Ball Badminton Championship for Boys & Girls 2023-24. This initiative falls under the ambit of the “My Youth My Pride” campaign spearheaded by the J&K Sports Council, aiming to cultivate a culture of sportsmanship and athleticism among the youth.
The championship, slated to span two days, is slated to kick off at the Government Middle School Shelipora in Anantnag from March 12th to March 13th, 2024. With support from the J&K Sports Council, the tournament aims to provide a platform for budding athletes to showcase their prowess in the realm of ball badminton.
Participants from various clubs, schools, institutions, and colleges are urged to register their entries before the deadline of March 13th, 2024, through WhatsApp at 7006434291. Organizers have emphasized that no on-spot entries will be entertained, underlining the importance of pre-registration.
All matches throughout the championship will adhere to the regulations set forth by the Ball Badminton Federation of India, ensuring a fair and competitive environment for all contenders. The draw for the tournament is slated to take place on March 12th, 2024, at 11:00 am, at the competition venue.
Notably, the championship serves as a crucial platform for talent scouting, with selectors poised to handpick standout performers for potential participation in upcoming UT championships. For further inquiries and details regarding the event, interested parties are encouraged to contact the event organizer’s secretary at 7006434291.
As excitement builds within the Anantnag district, anticipation runs high for what promises to be a thrilling showcase of youthful talent and sporting excellence at the upcoming Ball Badminton Championship.
