Director Sericulture J&K Ajaz Ah Bhat unfurls National flag on Republic Day 2024

On the auspicious occasion of 75th Republic Day of India on 26th January 2024, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat (IAS), Director, Sericulture J&K unfurled the National Flag with pride and reverence at the Directorate of Sericulture Dev. Department J&K Tulsibagh Srinagar.

 This momentous act marked a commitment to the ideals that define our great country. The ceremony was attended by the Officers and huge gathering of staff fostering a sense of patriotism and collective responsibility as we continue to strive for excellence in our endeavors and embark on the journey of nation building. 

 The celebrations commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag by Mr. Ajaz Ahmad Bhat (IAS), Director, Sericulture J&K, , followed by the soul-stirring rendition of the National Anthem.

 The festivities took on an even more poignant tone with the inclusion of a ceremonial salute, executed by the brave members of F Coy, 40th BN, Sashastra Seema Bal, Patna (Bihar). In his address, the Director Sericulture J&K highlighted the significance of the Republic Day of India and his commitment to work for the welfare of every section of society.

The Directorate of Sericulture and the premises were adorned with vibrant floral arrangements, vibrant illumination displaying try colour of the National Flag and fluttering national flags all over the border walls resonating the spirit of patriotism and national pride. The fervor of Republic Day Celebrations resonated throughout the various Divisional and District offices of Sericulture Dev. Department across J&K as well.

Speaking on the occasion, the Director Sericulture J&K calls on the officers and all the employees of the department to exert concerted efforts and work on mission mode to disseminate awareness among Silkworm rearers, farmers and youth vis-a-vis different schemes and facilities being provided by the department so that large number of people can avail the benefits and earn dignified livelihood by engaging themselves with Sericulture Department. Besides, exhorted them that all efforts must be made to percolate the benefits of schemes under HADP and various other schemes at ground level to every silkworm rearer, farmer and youth of J&K. Furthermore, he also emphasized that extensive mulberry plantation requires to be conducted all over J&K to keep the leaf reserves readily available to the Silkworm rearers for successful conduct of Silkworm rearing apart from highlighted the need to make the J&K self sufficient in Silkworm seed production.

In his address, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, IAS, Director Sericulture J&K expressed his gratitude to the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, U.T of J&K, the Worthy Chief Secretary J&K and the Worthy Principal Secretary to the Government Agriculture Production Department J&K for their unwavering support and their commitment to ensuring effective implementation of all the schemes at ground level.

 In his concluding remarks, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat (IAS), Director Sericulture J&K while addressing the staff members congratulated them on the occasion and praised them for their enthusiastic and active participation in the function.

 During the occasion, the Director, Sericulture Dev. Department J&K also felicitated the staff with mementos, Certificates etc as a token of appreciation and acknowledgment of their relentless commitment to work and for their lifetime achievements during their service carrier in the department.
