Srinagar, Feb 22: Director Health Services Kashmir, Dr Mushtaq Ahmad Rather on Thursday super headed the rescue operation at ski resort Gulmarg following avalanche.
The rescue response was held on the directives of Secretary Health and Medical Education, Dr Syed Abid Rashid Shah following avalanche incident.
Spokesperson Director of Health Services Kashmir, Dr Mir Mushtaq said the department swiftly mobilized its resources.
He said the Director Health Services rushed to the site to personally oversee rescue operations and ensure the safety of those affected.
Upon arrival, the director took charge of the situation, coordinating with rescue teams and providing guidance to ensure a swift and effective response.
The director’s on-site presence ensured that all necessary measures were taken to rescue individuals trapped in the avalanche. Top health officials of district were also present in Gulmarg with Director Health Services Kashmir.
Furthermore, Director Health Services has decided to camp in Gulmarg to continue overseeing rescue operations and provide any necessary assistance.
